Will climbing stairs reduce my tummy?

If you want to lose your belly fat and you don't want to go to the gym, you can do it at home by using your staircase. As you know, you cannot spot reduce and lose fat in your stomach area alone. When you climb stairs you are doing aerobic exercise which helps to burn fat throughout your entire body not only in your stomach area.

I have three workouts below to get you started. One workout is for a beginner's beginner and the other is more for a beginner/intermediate exerciser. The last plan is an advanced workout routine. If you have bad knees, do not do this workout until you get an okay from your doctor.

Walk up and down the stairs for one minute*
Rest for one minute

Using stairs to lose weight can be done at work or in your home, it is a very economical way to get and stay in shape. Grab friends or family members and start the above program tomorrow.

  1. Sounds like an ambitious regimen. I'd have to start slow and build up.
