Stretching in a chair
This is an update (1/2020) to this post I wrote several years ago. I have been teaching and training a lot of people who have a problem getting to the floor. You can also do this at your desk at work. So I am including a great video of stretching in a chair.

ReplyDeleteStretching is a must for me, I do some after every workout cooldown. When I had to go through PT for a work injury this past winter, they gave me lots of useful tips for stretching and I'm actually really glad because stretching the wrong way can cause injuries and prolong them. Because I have to be careful I avoid Yoga, but I know a lot of people swear by it, guess it just depends on your body and what works for you, thank goodness there are lots of different ways to stretch:)

ReplyDeleteIt's a good way to start the day too-- I have tight hip flexors so the deep lunges kill me but they feel oh-so-good!

ReplyDeleteI just hopped by from #wowlinkup and I love your choice of stretching video. I must admit I often neglect stretching so this easy video is just the reminder I need to stretch more often.
Honestly I need to do better with my stretching before and post workout. I prefer dynamic warm ups to get things moving. I need to do better though. #wowlinkup
