Balance Rewards For Healthy Choices

This is the second part of my article on buying fitness gifts via Walgreens Balance Rewards.  You can accumulate reward points when you buy certain items at Walgreens or on Walgreens.com. Right now, I have 45550 points and that is a little more than $50.  My goal is to have 80,000 points by the end of the year so I can buy Christmas gifts. Walgreens now has a program online, in which you can earn points by staying active and keeping your blood pressure, blood sugar, weight and cholesterol at a healthy level.  It is called Balance Rewards For Healthy Choices.

First you go to Walgreens.com set up an account, if you don't have one.  After that, go to the tab that says, Health Info and Services and then scroll down to Balance Rewards for Healthy Choices.  From there you can log in your cardio miles or steps on a FitBit or pedometer.  Because you have to record  steps or miles, you can't put down activities that don't log miles like boot-camp or weight training. You would have to wear a pedometer or some other activity tracking device, if you don't know your mileage.

You can also get points by tracking your weight loss or any decrease in cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar. Too bad Walgreens doesn't have the blood pressure stations like they have in the CVS drug stores. This would be an excellent way to take and record your blood pressure.  I recently lost 6 pounds and I also received balance points for my weight loss endeavors. As you can see, this is a great program you need to take advantage of, so sign up today.
