Kenyan Braised Collard Greens (Sukuma Wiki)
Wild Oats Organic products at Walmart
|Wild Oats' Olive Oil, Cinnamon Powder and Garlic Powder|
Walmart is teaming up with Wild Oats to bring organic products and produce to the masses at an affordable price. My cat Ginger broke off a few of my collard greens so I decided to make a meal using organic produce from my garden and organic products from Wild Oats.

I got the recipe from skinnytaste.com and I wanted to do something different from how I usually cook collard greens. The recipe has a lot of spices I normally don't put in my dishes, like coriander, cinnamon, ground ginger and turmeric. Wild Oats sent me their garlic powder, cumin, cinnamon, and olive oil to try out, however, the recipe needed more spices than the ones they gave me. I had to run over to Walmart to buy the rest. I wanted this meal to be completely organic with the collards and tomatoes from my garden, to the oil and spices from the Wild Oats company. There were only 3 items that were not organic, the onion, the chopped garlic and coriander spice. The coriander was hard to find where I live, so I had to borrow it from my mom and it was old. Oh well, the dish was almost completely organic.
