South Beach Results And Workout Wednesdays

Phase 1 Results

I am happy to report that I'm back to my regular weight of 147 pounds down from 152-153 pounds, I have been carrying since late autumn. Kathy has also lost weight, she is down 8 pounds after doing phase 1 for 2 weeks.  If you are late to the party, I blogged about my addiction to sugar and how I decided to go on the South Beach diet to reduce my sugar cravings. With this program, you must meal plan or you will be stuck with eating salads everyday and if you don't prepare, it can be expensive.

Now, I'm on Phase 2 where you add complex carbs back into your meal plan.  Complex carbs are your oats, whole wheat bread and pasta, most fruits, carrots, brown rice and etc.  If you would like to try the South Beach diet, read my first article.

  1. I really love the philosophy behind the South Beach diet but find that I need more carbs(starches) to run. Otherwise everything feels fatigued.

    1. You probably would do Phase 2, if you wanted to lose and do your runs.

    1. Wheat pasta would be complex and I think regular would fall under simple, maybe. Simple is usually your sugars.
