Low Calorie Honey Butter Biscuits
I reviewed the Nektar Natural company back in 2013 because I love their granulated honey crystals so much, I stopped buying honey. I was disappointed that the health food store near my home closed, they were the only place nearby that sold the product. When I got the chance to review it again, I jumped at the chance.
My favorite way to use the product is to put it in my tea. After dinner in the winter, I drink tea with a small treat and nothing tastes better than tea with lemon and honey. Nektar Natural honey crystals is actual honey made into granulated crystals. If you dislike the sticky mess of honey and want an easier way to enjoy honey, you can find it online or at many fine grocery stores.
For breakfast today, I made low calorie honey cashew milk biscuits using Nektar Natural. I used cashew milk but you can use buttermilk or any milk you desire.
Ingredients
9 ounces all-purpose flour (about 2 cups)
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup fat-free buttermilk or cashew milk
3 tablespoons Nektar Natural
Bake at 400 degrees.
If you have never made biscuits, please watch this video by Juli Roberts on how to make Southern Buttermilk biscuits. Quick and easy to make, there will be no need to buy pre-made biscuits that are high in fat and full of preservatives and artificial colors.
If you like to try this wonderful product, I'm teaming up with Nektar Naturals and they are giving away an easy to pour bottle like the one in the pictures above.
Open to United States residents only and you have to be 16 and over to enter.
