Chop Box Review

Ready To Cook Meal Service

I first heard about this type of company on Shark Tank, the television show, but I never got around to ordering the product. Since I got the chance to review Chop Box meals, I was very excited about it and shared my thoughts on Facebook. Chop Box is a ready to cook meal company that services the Midwest only at this time. You can order a meal for just one person or all the way up to 6 people.

I decided to make the Shrimp Parmesan Risotto because that is a recipe I would have never tried on my own. To my delight, the CEO of the company delivered the package to my door but don't expect that to happen if you order. His parent's home is near my house.

In the box were all the ingredients, and all I needed to do to prepare to cook was to chop up the garlic and parsley.  I loved that everything was fresh and healthy. I started to panic when I got two cartons of chicken broth so I only added one carton and a half of broth, and the risotto still came out like it should have.  I got lucky.  Chop Box knows what they are doing and I should have cooked it exactly like they said I should, there was no need to be worried.

My hubby was skeptical about the dish. He would have preferred non pre-cooked shrimp because he loves shrimp but otherwise he really liked the meal.  I paired the risotto with a wine I bought at a vineyard in southern Illinois. This meal was perfect for our Saturday date night.

If you live in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa or Indiana, you should give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
