Wedding Arms Workout

wedding-arms

This is the number one area future brides want me to help them on for their big day, their arms.  The request is always for toned not bulging but tight arms.  I usually do this workout with them twice a week for the best results.

You will need light weights (3-12 pounds or 1.5-5.5kg) for the Wedding Arms Workout and you use heavier weights for other body parts. Below, I have provided two workouts to choose from and remember to warm up, especially your shoulders before starting the program.

*If you are top-heavy, apple or inverted triangle body shape, focus on workout plan number one. Keep the weights light when working your arms or upper body but not too light whereas you don't feel it working. You should feel a burn after training your upper body. Use heavy weights for your lower body.
Lower body 8-12 reps with 4 sets per exercise
Upper Body 15-20 reps with 2 sets per exercise
Wedding Arms Workout follow the plan above

*If you are a pear shape, hourglass and rectangle body shape focus on workout plan number two. Go heavy on the upper body when working your chest, upper back, and shoulders. Do the wedding arms workout with lighter weights but heavy enough to feel the burn when you are finished. Do more repetitions and lighter weights when exercising your lower body.
Lower body 15-20 reps with 2-3 sets per exercise
Upper Body 10-12 reps with 2-4 sets per exercise
Wedding Arms Workout follow the plan above

Day 2: Legs and Core
Day 3: Wedding Arms Workout and Cardio
Day 4: Legs, Core and Cardio
Day 5: Chest, Upper Back, Shoulders and Wedding Arms Workout

  1. I'm strange, I love shoulder presses :) Thanks to genetics, my arms are the one area that I always have to focus on. My mother had what she termed flabby arms and hated them! Great looking workout, having great looking arms is so nice when wearing dresses!

  2. 50 reps, phew! Even with light weights that would be tough for me! But I bet they work great! #wowlinkup

  7. Ha! I wore a strapless dress for my wedding and YES, I was so concerned about my arms. Looks like a good workout. I don't do bicep curls at all, but my new weight training program for February has them mixed in there! #wowlinkup
