How To Find An Affordable Personal Trainer

Consider Thumbtack

Do you want to hire a personal trainer to come to your home but you don't want to pay an exorbitant price for one, then you might want to consider looking for a trainer on Thumbtack. Thumbtack is a website you can use to hire any service provider from an accountant to a chef.

What makes it affordable? The personal trainers bid to be hired by you and it's free. All you have to do is go to the Thumbtack site, state what you are looking for and then wait for the personal trainers to contact you.  If you find a trainer's price too high, you don't need to respond, just respond to trainers that appeal to you and that's it.

I am a service provider that is featured on Thumbtack, and I have used their program to find a chef and a massage therapist.  It's a great site but it has one downside; they are only found in two places outside the US, Guam and Puerto Rico.  Hopefully one day, they might be found in your country.

If you have a business and are looking for another way to advertise, you might want to check out Thumbtack. Thumbtack's goal is to help small companies to find new clients. You pay for a lead Thumbtack sends you but it is free to maintain a page on their site. Sometimes a person might want to hire you specifically so Thumbtack doesn't charge you for this request.  Give them a try, we all can use free promotion for our business, right?

Would you consider Thumbtack for a service you need?

  1. I wish I could find a affordable personal trainer. It seems like they are all expensive, but my cousin is in the marines, and he said he wanted to do part time training he's all about fitness. I'll have to talk to him and for him to give me a deal (:

  11. I had a personal trainer that came to my home when I lived in Seattle. It was awesome since everything was tailored to me and since it was at my home I couldn't just not go to the gym :) I've never heard of the service before, but it sounds great!

Off topic, did you get new social media buttons? If not I just noticed them, they look nice!

    1. Yes, I got them done about 6 weeks ago and I really love the look. Of course, I had to hire someone to do it.

  14. Wow, I have to try this. I would love a personal trainer. It reminds me of when I was young, I taught myself how to play the piano, thinking I had proper fingering, etc. However, after a few years I started taking lessons. I had to re-learn all over again, learning on your own you think you are doing things correctly, but are often using the wrong muscles, could hurt your back with small improper moves, etc. Not to scare people, but it is invaluable to have someone watch and teach you the correct way, then you will build on that. Even if you can only afford a trainer for a while.
